ADAA Update from Missouri Dental Assistant Association President Wendy Frye-Agers
The Membership Forum at the ADA Annual session in Washington, DC. was positive and very informative. Dr. John Kasper, ADAA Executive Director along with Kimberly Bland, ADAA President and Virginia Cairrao, ADAA President Elect addressed many items and concerns for the members. A lot of information and statistics was shared, showing that ADAA is on the path to success! For the first time in a number of years, membership numbers have increased. 3 new ADAA Fellows were introduced and celebrated.
Were you aware that if you are a full dues paying ADAA member, you have access to job postings and job searches at Dent Reps? This is one of the many benefits of being an ADAA member as well as all of the continuing education that is available! Another new benefit for members is the Member Dashboard. On YOUR dashboard, you can upload scanned continuing education certificates and have all your certificates in one place. Check out the Benefits page to see more of the benefits for our members. http://www.adaausa.org/Membership/ADAA-Benefits
This spring, ADAA will have our first ever Virtual House of Delegates. We will meet via computer/tablets/cell phones over two weekends to conduct the business of our association, and saving thousands of dollars in the process. This does not mean that we will never have an actual annual session in the future, but right now, this is what will work best for our association.
Dues renewal notices went out and are due December 31st. Dues can be paid annually, semi-annually, quarterly or monthly. If you would like to change the month your dues are due each year, you can contact Jennifer Porter at ADAA and work out a new payment due month. You can renew your dues online, making it even easier!
